A lot of times we have a prerequisite for what a person should be. They need to be honest, have achieved a certain level of success, must be a certain height, should be a certain weight and so on and so forth. I would be lying to you if I didn’t tell you I have been guilty of the same thing. The question is do I have those things and/or am I actively working towards them. We say we are ready. Yes, I’m ready. To fall in love. Oh, excuse me I drifted. The best judge for dating and life period is your mirror. What is a mirror? A reflective surface, now typically of glass coated with a metal amalgam, that reflects a clear image. You can’t run from what you see when you look into it. The reflection is you. You can be whoever you want on social media and in life. But if that is not you, you know every time you look at your reflection.

Mirror (1)

We should see what we want in the mirror. We should see the person who we would like to be equally yoked with. The expectations we set for others we must have for ourselves. Truly if we want success in any relationship we must be honest with ourselves. Always strive to be the best you. Always be honest with YOU first. Be the person your 10-year-old self-needed. Always remember and understand, steel sharpens steel. Love is a two-way street. Be ready for what you want.
